Kan Credenza

Designed and originally built while in architecture school this credenza is inspired by the Korean architecture that Molly lived in while studying and working in Korea from 1995-1998. The Kan is the standard measure used in dimensioning rooms for traditional Korean homes. Korean architecture is a post and lintel structural system with interior spaces floating within. Rooms transform depending on whether doors are open or closed. Similarly, this piece is designed with a “post and lintel” structural system while drawers and cupboard float within.
